Our Stay at Hotel Indigo Tokyo Shibuya
We booked Hotel Indigo Tokyo Shibuya because we wanted to step straight into the action. Shopping, food, nightlife and the Scramble Crossing were all close by. Up in our twentieth-floor room, we could watch that same Shibuya energy from the bed. This hotel is a great place to stay during your first Tokyo trip!
This is our recommendation for travelers who want Shibuya on their doorstep, with a clean, comfortable room that is enjoyable to come back to. The view was incredible, breakfast was excellent and having Gallery 11’s restaurant and bar in the building made the end of a long day particularly easy.
Where We Stayed — King Premium Scramble View with Bath
We stayed in the King Premium Scramble View room with a bath. It paired a big bed with windows looking out over the city. The room was clean, with colorful seating and small design details that gave it more personality than a standard business hotel. The best part was the view, you can see Shibuya Scramble from certain rooms and are surrounded by towering buildings.
Our king room, with seating, shelving and the city just beyond the windows.
If that view is what draws you here, pay attention to the room name when booking. We stayed in a designated Scramble View room with a bath. A different room category can give you a different outlook or bathroom setup, so do not assume every room matches ours.
Our bathroom had a bathtub within the shower area, and pajamas were provided. After a day on our feet, a soak was an especially welcome option. We picked up bath salts from Don Quijote right across the street, which is a small addition that makes a hotel bath feel like an activity in its own right.

Location, Location, Location
The location is the reason we chose Indigo, and it delivered! SHIBUYA109, the huge MEGA Don Quijote and plenty of places to eat are nearby. We could head out for a full day across Tokyo or keep things local when we had less energy. There was still plenty to see without turning every outing into a train journey.
Being able to walk back matters even more after dinner or a night out. Tokyo’s trains do not run all night, so check your last service if you are going farther afield. Here, spending an evening around Shibuya did not require planning the whole night around a ride home.

Breakfast Was One of Our Favorite Parts
Breakfast at Gallery 11 was a real highlight. We appreciated being able to start with a proper, full meal before heading out, especially on days when we expected to do a lot of walking. The buffet gave us fruit, vegetables and protein alongside the more indulgent things we were excited to eat around Tokyo.
The variety made it easy for us to put together different plates rather than settle for a quick snack on the way to the station for our day out. Having breakfast in the building also meant we could ease into the morning without first deciding where to go.

The hotel currently lists breakfast from 6:30 to 10:30 am. Check whether breakfast is included in your chosen rate and confirm the latest hours and offering on the official dining page.

Gallery 11 for the End of a Long Day
Shibuya has more dinner options than we could possibly work through, but it is also lovely to have a restaurant and bar waiting back at the hotel. Gallery 11, the restaurant within Hotel Indigo Tokyo Shibuya, gives you that option without another trip out. It’s a great place to wind down after shopping, sightseeing and navigating Tokyo all day.
The restaurant serves Italian-inspired food, and there is an adjoining terrace with a city outlook. It is an appealing change of pace from the busy streets below, whether you are planning dinner or a drink before heading upstairs. For current menus, opening hours and reservations, use the hotel’s dining page.
A Restful Stay in Busy Shibuya
The hotel sits within a larger building, with reception on the twelfth floor, Gallery 11 on the eleventh and Shibrewya café on the third. During our stay, the lower levels also gave us convenient food and shopping options. It was easy to pick up something simple rather than make every meal a sit-down outing.
We actually used that convenience on a rest day: downstairs for a bento, then back to the room to eat and watch the city from bed. A room with a view makes slowing down feel like part of the trip. We would leave space for a morning or afternoon like that, particularly if you are arriving jet-lagged or packing your days with walking.
There is also a twenty-four-hour fitness center, though exploring Shibuya gave us plenty of exercise.
The hotel’s fitness center is open around the clock.
